The Challenge

Green Sushi had been promoting their restaurant through several daily deals sites, but felt the customers they got through these services were largely discount hunters, jumping from one special deal to the next.

Therefore Green Sushi wanted to focus more on retaining and serving the rest of their customer base, build a stronger relationship with them and of course motivate them to come more often.

 

The Solution

Returntool developed a Green Sushi customer club app with two main features:

  • A loyalty rewards program
  • Special offers for people using the app

Loyalty program
The loyalty program was designed like a good old fashion stamp card, because The loyalty program was designed like a good old fashion stamp card. This makes it easy for the customers to understand what they get and when they get it.

The ”stamp card” was then visualized according to the wishes of Green Sushi CEO, Karsten Svendsen, whom is a great Japanese games and robot fan, to be a robot with a plate of maki rolls.

The loyalty rewards program, when launched, gave the right to 1 ”stamp/maki” for every 100 DKK you buy for. When earning 9 ”stamps/makis” the customer is able to redeem the ”stamp card” for 50% off any order.

The number of stamps and the loyalty reward can easily be changed and managed from the administration module.

 

Special Offers
The special offers for users of the app can only be seen and redeemed in the time slots for which they are intended and by the users that they are intended for. Offers can be sent out instantly or scheduled to start at any time in the future. Each offer can either be valid in the entire chain or at a specific restaurant only.
